Rainelli Koumangoye received his PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Meharry Medical College in Nashville Tennessee in 2012. He then joined the department of Surgery at Vanderbilt as a post-doctoral fellow where he studied the role of miRNA in esophageal cancer. In 2014, he joined Dr. Eric Delpire laboratory as a post-doctoral fellow and was promoted in 2018 to Research Instructor in the department of Anesthesiology. He has published 15 peer reviewed manuscripts in the past eight years. The focus of his research is to characterize the cellular and molecular mechanisms that regulate cation-chloride cotransporters trafficking in epithelial cells and how these processes affect epithelial ions transport.
